Woodbridge Memphis BBQ & Wicked Wings Earns a 9.4 in an Unannounced Torbrook Visit

A tiny room beside a beautiful park turns out one of the best meals our reviewer has ever had — wings seasoned to perfection, sides fresh from the fryer and portions beyond generous. The locals already know, which is why it is busy every single day.

Woodbridge Memphis BBQ & Wicked Wings has been rated 9.4 out of 10 by the Torbrook Rating Agency, TNN’s business review desk, following a private, unannounced visit. As with all of our independent evaluations, the restaurant had no idea a review was underway — a member of our team simply walked in, ordered and ate like any other customer. What follows is the experience any walk-in guest can expect.

The setting is easy to like before a single plate arrives. The restaurant sits beside a beautiful park, and the location itself is small — genuinely small, with a seating area to match. That is worth knowing going in, because it shapes how the place is best enjoyed. What the room lacks in square footage, the kitchen repays many times over.

And the kitchen is the whole story here, because the food is beyond amazing. The burgers were done exactly right. The wings — the other half of the name over the door — were seasoned to perfection, the kind of seasoning that reads as a recipe somebody has spent years getting right rather than a shake from a jar.

The sides held the same standard. The fries and onion rings came out extremely fresh and audibly crispy, clearly made to order rather than held under a lamp. And the beans and gravy alongside the coleslaw proved to be a perfect combination — the kind of pairing that elevates a platter into a meal. Taken together, our reviewer called it, honestly, one of the best meals they have ever had.

Then there are the portions, which are beyond generous. This is not a kitchen that measures with an eye on the margins; plates arrive loaded, and nobody leaves hungry. At these portions, with this quality, the value is simply not in question.

Two practical notes, in fairness to guests planning a visit. Wait times for food run a bit long — understandable, because food this good is cooked with care, not rushed out of a warmer — and seating gets scarce when the room is busy, which is often. Our reviewer’s own preference is to order for takeout, and with that park sitting right next door, it is hardly a sacrifice. The crowds themselves tell the real story: the locals know exactly what this place is, and that is why it is busy every single day.

A 9.4 from the Torbrook Rating Agency places Woodbridge Memphis BBQ & Wicked Wings firmly among the best kitchens we have evaluated. The room is tiny and the wait is real — and none of it matters once the food hits the table. Beyond amazing was our reviewer’s summary, and the daily line of regulars out the door suggests an entire neighborhood agrees.
